Swiss Chard… the lightening repellent

While Steph toiled away in the rainy fields, Dave and I huddled under the tent at the Harvard Market.  The day started out ok, but quickly turned to rain, and then downpours, thunder, and lightening.  We watched a lot of people scurry past during that time, but some stopped in, and in the end it was a pretty good day.  Dave sold a lot of swiss chard with his claim that it could ward off lightening… according to him, he’s never been struck by lightening while holding a bunch of swiss chard.  Thanks to all of you who came out in the rain and showed us some support!

We also did our weekly barter for some incredible breads from both Mariposa Bakery and the Danish Pastry House.  Thursday is Plymouth to barter for some more goat cheese feta…
